The University of Guelph has joined the international response to the dire refugee crisis by inviting two Syrian students to study for free for four years, with free housing and meal plans for their first two semesters.
The UoG Chapter of the World University Service of Canada (who already sponsors and provides support to two students yearly from international refugee camps and who are excited to provide the same services to these two additional students) is asking for financial support from the community to help these two deserving students thrive and learn in comfort during their full four years at the university. All contributions will go towards their living expenses for years two through four – including housing, food, and additional course-related necessities.
No donation is too small to help these two students as they break the cycle of poverty and despair that befalls refugees. Thank you so much for your support!
